Dia De Los Muertos

My cousin Lalo sent me this photo of the tattoo he just got of the dia de los muertos skull I did for the Village Hill a while back. Quite an honor to permanently ruin a family members skin with one of my drawlings. I'll have to return the favor by getting tattooed with one of his drawings.

Victory Grill

as I entered a stall at the Me & Eds victory grill on Cedar for my post birthday lunch with the future in-laws, I had a holden caulfield moment when i noticed someone had scrawled "fuck" on the wall. I thought,
"what kinda pervy asshole would write fuck on a restroom wall of a family restaraunt? kids'll see this! Dads taking their kid's to the toilet are gonna have to explain what fuck means! this is terrible".
But of course, rather than scratch it out, I took a photo of it. Now Im blogging about it.

Up There/The Ritual Project

very beautiful-stella artois sponsored-short film depicting the age old tradition of hand painted signs. This holds a special place in my heart,as whilst working with Francisco Vargas, a nationally known muralist and sign painter, I found a new respect for this dying craft.
